BUYER BEWARE! Bought a couch from this company and it took nearly a week to deliver! When it was delivered, it had a scratch place on it. Of course, conveniently for them, the delivery delay extended the purchase past the FTC LAW 3 day COOLING OFF law that protects consumers in the first 3 days of a credit card purchase. Tough luck for me, the consumer! So when I do get to the point to where we just decide to return the damaged goods back to the store, they say that in the FINE PRINT of the purchase there is ridiculous restocking fee of 15%! For damaged goods! The left handle had bad scratch damage that was under the handle. Add to that, that owner (or manager) was clearly unprofessional on the phone when discussing this. Who wants to pay $180 just for them to plop their damaged couch back down on their showroom floor? Its crazy. He was not professional on the phone either. Not willing to negotiate or discuss anything. Hey... I was willing to pay 25 bucks for them to take it back (which is dumb with the scratch there), but for them to force me to pay $180 for returning a couch to their showroom is ridiculous. I will be sure to tell EVERYONE I know who is on the market for a piece of furniture in this area to STEER CLEAR of this place! Just beware that this bunch has an exorbitant RETURN FEE, they CONVENIENTLY take their time to deliver, and THEN WERE UNREASONABLE ON THE PHONE. I went ahead and paid the $180 but I consider it my STUPID TAX of a lesson well learned. Some lessons are learned the hard way folks... Please always read the FINE PRINT in all the stores before purchasing. Make sure delivery is within 3 days of the FTC's Cooling Down law (you are protected that way)...and just steer clear of the THE FURNITURE SHOPPE!
